1. INSPIRE YOUR TEAM

Have you seen a leader who lacks the motivation or inspiration to move his/her team to work? There are many of such. Lack of motivation prevents growth in the workplace and employees leave tasks unattended due to lack of inspiration. As a leader, you need to avoid this by:

• • Sticking to a routine or schedule of activities.
  • Attend inspiring or helpful events to grow.
  • Have some ‘’me time.’’
  • Be positive and give yourself credit for all tasks accomplished.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and appreciate every effort made in that regard.

2. COMMUNICATE FREQUENTLY

Communication is the bedrock of teamwork. A lack of communication between yourself and your team will prevent tasks from being carried out when due. To prevent this from happening, carry out the following frequently:

• • Hold open meetings where tasks are assigned, and challenges are discussed for input from all.
  • Send emails to the team communicating steps to plans agreed on, new ideas or proposals or anything they need to be in the know. Or simply utilize something like Slack or Zoho Cliq to collaborate with your team instead of email.
  • Have a receptive disposition always. If your team see you as approachable, they will always come to you with ideas to improve the business.
  • Use simple words to be clearly understood to convey ideas more easily.
  • Make use of visual aids when communicating while displaying confidence.

3. IMPROVE YOURSELF

There is a saying that the day you stop learning, you start dying. This is absolutely true when it comes to business too. As a leader, you must keep learning in order to grow your business. Failure to do this will put your business behind its competitors. Additionally, you will lose business deals as clients see the advantages of using others, instead of you. How to improve yourself? Do the following regularly:

• • Broaden your knowledge about every aspect of your business.
  • Read one relevant business book per month (ask me for recommendations!).
  • Write down short notes to help you remember.
  • Practice whatever you learn with your team to grow together.

4. MAKE ADEQUATE PLANS

You are in business to make money and keep making it. Therefore, you must have strategic plans in place to do this. Challenges must not disrupt the plans you have due to well-placed contingency plans. That is why you are a leader. As you plan, make spaces for challenges and problems, and how to meet them with suggestions from team members. With this ability to plan strategically as a leader, seemingly insurmountable problems are dealt with efficiently.

5. ACTIONS

People remember what you did rather than what you said. Your actions as a leader speak for who you really are inside. You do not want to come out as a weakling, a crude, or violent person. Nurture your team physically, emotionally, and otherwise, allowing your actions to define your character. The results for doing this are unending and equally encouraging. If you can bring out the best from even the worst person in your team, then you are one of the great leaders of our time.

As for what you can do to improve your time management, you will see that a number of different approaches can be taken. Goal setting, to do lists, limiting tasking, prioritizing, and outsourcing are all effective ways to manage your time, but they are also just a few of your options. As for why you should learn and practice proper time management, there are a number of reasons why, five of which are outlined below.

1 – It Is Easy To Do

As previously summarized, you have a number of different options when looking to make better use of your time. These options are all easy and cost effective ways. In fact, creating goals and task lists for yourself is free of charge. Since it is easy for you to learn and practice proper time management techniques, why would you want to do anything else?

2 – It Is Important To Your Personal Life

As previously stated, having a poor sense of time management has a number of serious consequences, one of those being your personal life. If you regularly pay your bills late, don’t make contact with friends, or arrive home later than normal, you may be hurting your personal relationships and often in more ways than you could have ever imagined. Friends, spouses, and romantic partners will likely not want to put up with this behavior for long.

3 – It Is Important For Your Job

Poor time management will not only negatively affect your personal life, but your work life as well. If you do not know how to properly manage your time, you may get easily distracted. This may result in you wasting company time. If you are caught doing so repeatedly, you may find yourself terminated from your current position. This can also have a negative impact on your personal life, as it may leave your finances in serious trouble.

4 – It Is Something That You Can Only Benefit From

Taking the time to learn and practice successful time management techniques can only benefit you, your work, and your personal relationships. Your platform is also what you use to design the look of your blog, from color scheme to font size. The web host is sort of like the virtual file cabinet where your blog is stored. Your computer communicates with the host when you upload or edit a post. The domain is the online address of your blog, and usually ends in ‘dot com’. Building a vision for your business is something that you should work hard at.  There is nothing wrong with wanting more for yourself.  When you are serious about being a great success in life you should make sure that you are using the tools that work best for you.  Work with a business coach to figure out a plan and then go from there.  There is nothing wrong with planning ahead and being in control because you are the one that is going to make the difference.

Figure out how you want to succeed in life; business and personal.  When you are sure that you want to be more productive in life, you will find it much easier when you have a goal and a plan set in place. There is nothing wrong with wanting more and going after it.  If you want more and you want to create something in life that is going to work for you and your business you should be ready for the building of the vision that is going to work for you.

Take charge of your goals and make sure that what you are creating will make you proud.  Do not sit back and let things happen to you. Make sure that you are proceeding with your future in mind so that you are continually making progress.  Write down your ideas and really think about them. Create a blueprint to success. Measure your progress and go after your dreams. Be ready for the future that is yet to come.

Do not worry if your business is not booming from the beginning. With a little bit of hard work and some determination you are going to find it much easier to make everything happen and bring your dreams to a reality.

There is nothing quite like moving past the hard time and making them better. You should be ready for a productive life so that you are better able to make everything more achievable in your life.  Put it all down on paper and put everything that you have into it.  You are going to feel better and you will see that this is going to be the beginning of a new and brighter future for yourself. Once you imagine the future and have the action steps on paper, it will become more real to you.

Know what you need to do and go out there and get it.  You should always be prepared for something in life.  You need to be productive and figure out what is standing in your way. If you have something holding you back you need to motivate yourself to gain control of it.  You should be the one that is holding all the cards for the game. You have to be willing to step up and figure out a good method that will bring you one step closer to the future that you deserve.  Be willing to make it all happen for yourself and see how good it all feels.

One of the biggest challenges to reinventing your business is maintaining a competitive advantage but not losing existing clientele.  The balance is found in making the right changes at the right time.  KEY!  As the business owner, you will carefully consider the options and their potential positive or negative outcomes.  Consider not only how the public will react, but the long term vision of your business.  Will reinvention bring you nearer to or farther away from your vision?

As you approach your decision to reinvent your business, imagine that entrepreneurs are working on a piece of art.  Every now and then you will think about things that you can add or change to make it better.  Remember your business as something that is forever growing.  Keep in mind that there are going to be some problems, but when you work through all the issues it will bring in more potential customers.

Take into account the foundation of your business – current business practices and current clients.  Are you in a position to risk losing some current clients for potential larger contracts?  Is your reinvention a big leap from how your business, products and services and communications are distributed now?  You will want to make sure that you do all the appropriate research so that you can take care of the necessary business decisions and feel confident in your new approach.
